Series : Living the New Life
Scripture : 1 Peter 5:1-11
In the next few Sundays we will be looking at the challenge of living New Life in Christ in the world today. This is no new problem. Dating back to the time immediately following Jesus, the church has struggled to determine what it would look like to live for Jesus in the world. The disciple Peter tried to tackle that question for his followers and some of those thoughts are collected in the Bible in 1 Peter which we will use as our guide for this look at this New Life. We continue to have to translate and contextualize the message in a way that works for the world today. However, the message remains the same: Jesus Christ, he who has risen from the dead, offers the living hope that can make it happen.
