This grand piano has served us well over the years. We said goodbye to it on Sunday as we are getting a “new” grand piano on Tuesday. A lot of praise and worship flowed through her. The generations have been blessed. I will cherish memories of Vi Ellingson playing at the Food Bank and the many, many funerals we did together. Others will think of how Mo Jonson led us in worship for years sitting on that bench. Or Andrew Sung and how he, in the middle of a powerful song, would run his hand quickly across all the keys. Johnny Fwu, Joel McGoran, Calvin Wood, Nancy Tsai, David Kuei and many others played her beautifully. And, of course, we need to mention Patty Jacobson, in whose memory the piano was donated in the early 80’s.
